Journey Camp for Kids is a week long camp centered on Jesus and focused on the campers with fun activities for everyone in a safe environment. Each day brings unique worship and Bible study experiences in age appropriate settings. Children participate in a wide variety of activities offered in a natural setting. They will be exposed to the Gospel of Jesus Christ and learn how they can begin a lifetime journey of walking with the Lord.
The 2018 theme is “Destination: Journey” taken from Psalm 25: 4-5 : “Make your ways known to me, Lord; Teach me Your paths. Guide me in Your truth and teach me, For you are the God of my salvation: I wait for You all day long.”
Journey Camp is a ministry of the Tennessee Baptist Mission Board and is made possible by the generous contributions of Tennessee Baptist Churches through the Cooperative Program and the Golden Offering for Tennessee Missions.
Camper Requirements: For children ages 9-12. After the group leader registers an estimated number of students and pays the required deposit, the group leader will receive an email from Journey registration. This email will include instructions for completing registration for individual campers which will include the parent/legal guardian of each camper completing an Activity Release form and Camper Medical form. These forms will be online and can be signed by the parent online.
Sponsor Requirements: Church groups will need to bring at least one adult sponsor for every 10 children, or portion thereof, of each gender. For example, a group of 14 girls and 8 boys will require 2 adult female sponsors and 1 adult male sponsor. Sponsors are expected to stay with the children in their charge at all times while on campus. Groups should move about campus together. During Bible Study each day, adult sponsors will meet as a group for encouragement and training. The group leader will also need to complete a Church Sponsor registration form giving the name and email address for each sponsor. Church sponsors will also need to register online and complete an Activity Release form, an Adult Camper Health form, and a release allowing the TBMB to conduct a criminal background screening.
