Tennessee Baptist Conference Centers

Committed to Your Spiritual Journey

Our Story

The Tennessee Baptist Mission Board has operated camps and conference centers since 1948. Today, over 10,000 adults, youth, and children visit these sites each year. Since 2010, over 1,100 decisions for Christ have been recorded at the Tennessee Baptist Conference Centers. There are obviously many more decisions made and lives changed forever that are not recorded.

Carson Springs:

Nestled in the mountains of East Tennessee, within driving distance of Gatlinburg and The Great Smoky Mountains, Carson Springs gives you full amenities in the midst of rugged scenic splendor. With lodges, rustic campsites, 36 hotel-style guest rooms, and accommodations for 350, Carson Springs can accommodate groups of all sizes.

Linden Valley:

Positioned alongside the winding Buffalo River in the scenic hills of Middle Tennessee, Linden Valley offers a beautiful setting for your group’s retreat or even for a short overnight stay. Linden Valley can accommodate up to 400 in camp-style lodging and offers 40 hotel-style guest rooms. The rocking chairs on the porch overlook the Buffalo River.

Our Mission

“To make Christ known by serving churches and their communities.” This is the theme that drives all of the Tennessee Baptist Mission Board. For the Linden Valley and Carson Springs Conference Centers, we are passionate and committed to transforming lives through the power of Christ. Through unique Christ-centered experiences; refreshment for body, soul, and spirit; and opportunities for Biblical learning, we provide a place to proclaim and present the Gospel.

Our Difference

Nestled in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains, Carson Springs is truly a place where you can experience God. With its scenic beauty and quiet stillness, Carson Springs is the perfect place to meet God. In 1948, Tennessee Baptists recognized the importance of retreating from the world and seeking God’s presence. Thus, Carson Springs was born. From the top of English Mountain, Carson Springs property overlooks the Great Smoky Mountains.

Linden Valley can provide a special place for your group to come worship the Lord in a tranquil, riverside setting. The beauty of God’s world is evident when you commune with nature while walking on the riverwalk, converse with others while sitting in a rocking chair, or challenge yourself on the ropes course. For 60 years the Tennessee Baptist Mission Board has provided a getaway through the facilities of Linden Valley in which churches, as well as non-profit groups, can break away from the business of life to be renewed with God.

I lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. -Psalm 121:1

Our Leadership

Kevin Perrigan

Manager, Carson Springs Baptist Conference Center

Kevin answered God’s call to the ministry in 1985. Christian camping became a time of transformation while he was in college. Kevin sees the camping ministry as a vibrant avenue for discipleship as well as reaching the lost for Christ.

Steve Clark

Assistant Manager, Tennessee Baptist Conference Centers

What can you say about the staff member everyone loves? The most common question when guest arrive is, “Where’s Tank?” Steve’s (Tank’s) love for people and desire to serve is evident in all he does. His supervisory responsibilities include grounds, maintenance and housekeeping.

Continuous Development

The Tennessee Baptist Mission Board is committed to maintaining and continuously developing the facilities at Linden Valley and Carson Springs Baptist Conference Centers.
