Carson Springs Staff
Kevin answered God’s call to the ministry in 1985. Christian camping became a time of transformation while he was in college. Kevin sees the camping ministry as a vibrant avenue for discipleship as well as reaching the lost for Christ.
Trent began his camping ministry in 1997 as a live-in summer camp staff member. He currently serves as Assistant Manager and is responsible for general facilities maintenance/operations, gift shops, and meeting space.
Since 1997, Susan has served as the Administration Assistant for Carson Springs. She is the first contact for groups looking to plan a retreat or week long camp. In addition, she handles all office duties. Susan’s favorite verse is Ephesians 2:10.
My goal is to have a positive impact on others through food service. I’m blessed to be in a ministry working with in a great ministry. My favorite Scripture is Isaiah 43:2.
Growing up I have always felt like God was calling me into ministry. I had no idea that God would call me into camp ministry. From day one at camp I knew this is where God had called me. My favorite bible verse is Luke 9:23 Then he said to them all, “If anyone wants to follow after me, let him deny himself, take up his cross daily, and follow me.”
Phyllis has worked for Carson Springs since 2006. She assumed her role as coordinator in 2009. Phyllis and her staff work diligently to maintain high standards of cleanliness in all the lodges and guest rooms at Carson Spring. Her favorite Bible passage is Psalm 23.
Linden Valley Staff
Cole started his camp ministry as a 10th grader. His call to camping ministry led him to complete a degree in entrepreneurship. Along with his administrative skills, Cole coordinates food service. His life verse is Proverbs 27:17, “As iron sharpens iron, so a man sharpens the countenance of another.”
What can you say about the staff member everyone loves? The most common question when guest arrive is, “Where’s Tank?” Steve’s (Tank’s) love for people and desire to serve is evident in all he does. His supervisory responsibilities include grounds, maintenance and housekeeping.
If you ask Kathryn why she came to work at Linden Valley, she will say she wanted to help others. She will also tell you she found out camp helped her as much as anything. Kathryn is usually the first voice you hear when you call.
Kaz joined the staff in 2012. Working in almost every area of camp has given her the ability to serve in group reservations and camp registrations. She loves the outdoors which gives her the opportunity to also serve as a ropes course lead facilitator. One of her gifts is the willingness to help.
Diane has a true servant’s heart. Her biggest joy is ensuring guests have a safe, clean experience. Her smile says, “Welcome! We are glad you are here.”
