Frequently Asked Questions
Does my church have to be Baptist to use the facilities?
No, but the purpose of your church has to be consistent with the purpose of the Tennessee Baptist Mission Board and you must be a qualified non-profit organization exempt from Tennessee State Sales Tax.
Can I send my children to Journey and Impact Camps even if our church doesn't come?
Journey and Impact Camps are designed to build church groups and supervision of children and youth is vested in Church Sponsors. So, no, we can’t take individual children. However, give us a call and we will try to hook you up with a nearby church that will be glad to include your children with them.
A youth minister at the church across town wants our 2 small youth groups to do a retreat together. Can you facilitate that for us?
Absolutely! We will meet with you, understand your needs and help you design your retreat, help recruit program personnel and help you conduct your event.
When is the best time for our church to schedule a retreat?
Anytime! But fall and spring weekends are usually reserved 12 months ahead of time. Summer weeks and weekends are usually booked at least 18 months ahead. Think creatively based on your group. Spring break, fall break, week after Christmas are great times for youth retreats. Non-summer week days can be great for staff retreats, senior adult excursions and other retreats.
